INTEGRATED PROGRAMME in EUROPEAN POLICY STUDIES
Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 31 août 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The proposed Integrated Programme in European Policy Studies (IPEPS) will develop an 8-week Masters-level module in Brussels, which will integrate and complement Masters-level programmes offered by selected universities across Europe. Several universities have already expressed their interest in forming a partnership with IPEPS and are ready to include its curriculum in their master programmes. Such a project will avoid the creation of an additional MA degree among many others and offer the opportunity to enrich the background knowledge that students acquire in traditional university classes with practical content and policy-oriented training. In terms of content, the IPEPS project will be organised around five thematic pillars, the first four of which consist of parallel courses, namely Macroeconomic Governance, Law and Economics of Financial Markets, the EU Energy Market and the EU Single Market. The fifth pillar will take the form of a horizontal course on decision-making across EU policies. These themes correspond to key areas of EU policy-making and thus promise to deliver the greatest benefits in terms of transferrable skills. The specific content of each course will be fine-tuned every year to ensure the best fit between the courses offered and the key issues under debate in the EU.The learning programme will combine in-person lectures with problem-based activities including case studies, discussion groups and workshops with policy-makers as well as participation in simulation games and study visits to EU institutions. Outputs• Masters-level module (academic years 2016-17 and 2017-18)• 1 summer school (summer 2016)• 11 seminars in ‘partner’ universities• 12 webinars targeted to students, practitioners, civil servants • Development of free downloadable educational materials • Hosting an online discussion forum (virtual platform)• Business Plan for future editions of the programme
