The wide variety of projects that are developed in the Sociocultural Activities Department makes it possible for the volunteer to participate in different activities where involvement and motivation are essential. We propose a weekly program flexible enough to be changed in order to adapt it to the volunteer’s skills. The volunteer will perform the tasks in a team together with other volunteers or with professionals of the entity. The functions of the European volunteers are those performed by the entity at that moment. In the case of the Occupational Center: - To provide support to the multidisciplinary team with the tasks the technicians consider appropriate. - To collaborate when supervising our users’ tasks. - Together with other workers, to accompany the centre users during their cultural visits. In the Stays during the day - To collaborate with the multidisciplinary team when planning occupational activities - To perform the previously planned activities, together with the social educator. - To prepare a workshop about his mother language with the usersIn Awareness Activities - to collaborate with technical personnel in preparing and doing the activity. - to give a talk about awareness on disability together with the technicians and once acquired the right level of Spanish. - To evaluate and propose improvement actions.- To disseminate the program " Erasmus+ " when the activities take place in Educational Centers with baccalaureate and vocational training levels as well as in those other centers that work with young people. In the Department for Sociocultural Activities: -To give support to leisure - therapeutic workshops - Accomplishment of a workshop about his mother language -To help with the daily obstacles that the disabled encounter every day. - To take part and give dynamism to leisure activities and cultural trips -To program, implement and evaluate the workshops together with the rest of volunteersDuring the weekend, normally on Saturday evening, certain leisure and cultural activities can be enjoyed (cinema, museums, concerts ...). During the vacation periods, the center offers a program with cultural trips to different places of Spain, for both disabled and non-disabled people. The volunteers will take part in these trips planning and developing them with the rest of the team. These vacation periods normally coincide with the Holy Week and eight days in August but they will be compensated with some days’ rest.Likewise, as a way of fulfilling our obligation to disseminate and spread the program, we take it as a challenge for this year that the European volunteers promote the SVE with different divulgative activities and a video. Throughout the year, we are asked to give a talk about volunteerism in general or about the SVE in particular by the Aragonese Youth Council, the Aragonese Youth Institute, the Town Hall of Saragossa or by any other organism. For this reason, we think that the best way of explaining the idea is through the words of a SVE person. On having so many possibilities of participation and such a wide range of activities, the opportunity to learn increases considerably. The work with disabled people implies a continuous and intensive learning in different aspects, such as acting correctly and effectively in emergency situations, adjustment of didactic and playful materials, utilization of technical help or social skills and assertiveness. All this is complemented with training the Foundation offers the volunteers and the tutor’s follow-up to make them aware of the learning process acquired.
