Creating a joint cross-border infrastructure for coordination and management of intervention activities within the Giurgiu-Rousse for the improvement of the monitoring, management and prevention of emergency situations, accidents and disasters. Specific objectives: Increasing the response capacity and operative interventions in emergency situations ,Endowment with specific equipments in case of disasters, Realizing a Communication and Information System (CIS), Developing joint activities for information and training in the field of efficient management of emergency situations Achievements: The project “Insuring an efficient management of the joint intervention in emergency situations in the Giurgiu-Ruse cross-border area”, MIS-ETC code 623, with a total eligible value of 5,633,877 Euro, contributed to the creation of a joint cross-border infrastructure for the improvement of the monitoring, management and prevention of emergency situations, accidents and disasters in Giurgiu-RuseThe main result of the project was building the Centre for Cross-border Coordination and Management of Intervention Giurgiu-Ruse. The building has paved platforms necessary for the location of the electro-generator, waste storage, parking platform, furniture and other systems for utilities. Another important result was creating a Communication and Information System (CIS) which will ensure the technical and logistical support necessary for the efficient management of emergency situations in the Giurgiu-Ruse area.
