In Bucharest, only a few clinical hospitals have balneofiziokinetotherapy cabinets that allow internships, and most of them are poorly equipped and lack modern technologies for remedial intervention.Because of the low number of specialized clinics, we have difficulty in contracting specialized institutions for internships for post-secondary level students, given that the profession of balneofiziokinetotherapy and recovery nurse is one of the most adapted to the specific disability professions. Recent statistical analyzes show that only 36% of students in post-secondary school have completed their practical training in specialized clinics in BFK, the rest being carried them in schools, in poor conditions, based mainly on theoretical notions without the possibility of applying practical.In this context, the project ”Light4Life” aims to increase the quality of vocational training in the field of Health and pedagogical assistance, in BFK and recovery nurse profession of students with visual disabilities at post-secondary school in the High Technology Special "Queen Elizabeth" by participating in a practical training internship at the Fondazione Casa Serena "Mons. Francesco Pititto" Onlus, Mileto, Italy.The target group consists of 84 students with visually impaired, with certificate of degree of disability, enrolled in post-secondary school in our unit, specializing BFK and recovery nurse, advanced skill level III. Because it has been found that the practice skills training activities do not allow full development of the profession, they have been identified training needs:- The need to acquire professional skills and practicing the profession of nurse in medical offices specialized in BFK;- Need to broaden cultural horizons and functional limitations considering the personal and social aspects of disability- The need for knowledge about European labor market reality, standards and demands her- Need to develop socio-professional adaptive strategies to offset the vision lost. The specific objectives of the project addresses to a target group consists of 84 students with visual disabilities seeking:- Development of professional skills and practical skills by practicing, implementation and monitoring procedures and physical therapy techniques, kinetic care, prevention and recovery within specialized clinics, equipped to the highest quality standards, relevant to particular students with visual disabilities- Skills needed team work, a behavior based on cooperation, respect and openness in the relationship with the patient and with other members of the team under the rules of medical ethics and deontology- Appropriate professional work experience by developing practical training activities under competent supervision, recovery in institutions equipped to European standards in order to develop socio-professional adaptive strategies to offset the vision lost- Developing and practicing language skills in Italian through active communication with patients and medical staff during the development stage of practical training- Practicing professional skills and practical skills in European labor market conditions through its standards and demands.The expected results are:- 84 students with improved practical skills and abilities specific to BFK nurse professional qualification - 84 students with improved adaptive socio-professional skills, to offset the vision lost, acquired through participation in a practical training course, adapted to the particularities of these students- 84 students with Italian language skills acquired by attending an appropriate training program and interactive communication during the traineeshipIn each of the two years the project will attend the training period each 14 students in the first year, second year 14 students and 14 students in the third year of post-secondary school, achieving three streams each year. Given the specificity of young visually impaired and considering the functional limitations and needs, students will be joined by a total of 84 accompanying persons with assistance role and supervision throughout mobility.The impact of the project will result in increased quality of training of students with visual impairments by achieving goals and exploitation of results at regional level, but also by eliminating segregation barriers, accepting diversity and community awareness of the issues of people with disabilities.
