INSPIRE — Improving Nascent Skills to Produce Interactive Resources for Education
The project focuses the health care sector, with the goal of training trainers in nursing, first aid, physiotherapy to the self-production of interactive materials such as to facilitate the comprehension of phenomena like the distribution of drugs in the human body and their progressive decay in a given period of time: whose explanation requires animations and simulations while demonstrations via diagrams, powerpoint etc. are quite inadequate. But the emphasis on health care does not prevent the promoters from making an explicit declaration that the e.learning via the web site of the project, the toolkit and the handbook the project will create, could be used by teachers and trainers at large, independently from the sector of VET they work or the discipline they teach. -- OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: The central goal of the project is to demonstrate that today is possible to support the didactic work with self-created multimedia contents: simple competencies in computer based techniques are sufficient, together with the use of cheap softwares. In order to witness the consistence of such a declaration the promoters quote a previous project “EDUCAT”, implemented with E.U funding, which opens the doors to the current INSPIRE and gives a demonstration of the feasibility of an easy self-production of simulations. -- RESULTS AND PRODUCTS: The tangible outcomes of the project are: (1) a toolkit for implementing interactive computer based programmes (to be commercialised) -a manual accompanying a CD rom, with the step-to step guide to the self production of interactive didactic materials (to be commercialised) -the website with the highligths of the e.learning training (2) a prospectus for training the trainers and teachers -promotional printed materials for the valorisation campaign POTENTIEL FUTUR (SECTEUR PROFESSIONNEL, NIVEAU GEOGRAPHIQUE The e.learning via the web site of the project, the toolkit and the handbook , could be used by teachers and trainers at large, independently from the sector targeted by the current project
