As part of a project to fight against the school and university dropout in the region of the "Grand Nancy" , we allow 40 youth to engage in civic service within our organization by offering differnts actions and trainings. In integrating our structure which works with young people , they become actors rather than beneficiarys .On this work we want to add an european experience to confront other practices in order to enrich their own.That's why we organize a job shadowing project with 6 organizations ( in 5 countries ).Structures are associations or non-profit companies closed to what we do. The thematics are: scientific mediation or youth policies or ecological transition.- Before departure: an 5 days seminary will be organised to prepare the departure. We will determine the goals, create the criteria for evaluation.- Then they'll go two weeks for the job shadowing. The young people will go to a country where they are living the experience of an youth worker. The aim is to bring back best practices and inspiration to innovate their own practice. They 'll be in groups of 4 or 6.An individual assessment of mid-term is scheduled during the stay in order to readjust the mission if necessary.- At return, an assessment seminar will provide an update on what they have learned, what surprised them and especially what they will be reused in their immediate practice.- The final evaluation at the end of volunteering will measure how this experience has enriched them.We hope they will, in turn, feed the association of ideas.Interest on long-term revitalization of our European network to boost ambitious projects in 2016 and beyond.
