The "Inside Journey" is a partnership between the organization Mirakolix Game Center, as coordinating organization and host and sending organizations: Associazione Culturale Betty & Books in Italy, Coordinadora d'Organitzadors the Camps of Treball Internacionals de Catalunya (COCAT) of Spain, CJD Ruhrgebiet / CJD Zehnthof Standort Essen in Germany and the Netherlands Vrijwilligersprojecten SIW Internationale. The project includes a voluntary service for four volunteers, two girls and two boys for a period of 12 months, from 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 which will take place in Brașov, Romania. After identifying the needs of young people from the local community as self-knowledge and valuation of their own individuality, in order to be successful on both personal and professional level, we have determined as the main aim of the project, the development of an educational program of personal and professional skills development of young people from the local community. Volunteers will perform creative and playful activities, to support local young people in their discovery of interior resources and their valorization through fulfillment of their desired goals. At the same time another main objective of the project "Inside Journey" is the diversification of leisure and socializing activities at local level, by specific events, such as board game evenings for young people and adults, as well as in- and outdoor playing events for children (and parents). EVS volunteers and young people from the local community will discover and will deepen a less explored human side, namely the emotions. By understanding and integrating these aspects, all those young people may develop emotion recognition and emotion management in a healthy and beneficial way, tolerance to frustration and a better mastery of thump, more positive feelings about itself, school/work and family and also more responsibility. They will also be able to empathize more easily with those around and to understand that beyond the gender, religion, social position, each person has a story, has similar interior feelings with ours and they deserve respect, for the simple fact that they give us a life lesson by its existence. For the long term they will develop a magnificent ideal: a better world.
