The aim of the project is to promote the natural water heritage of the area confined by the rivers Körös/Criş, Berettyó/Barcău and Ér/Ier through the creation of thematic exhibitions and education. For this purpose the Komaromy mansion and annex building of Otomani (Romania) was restored, as well as the arboretum park around the mansion was rehabilitated with the aim of creating an exhibition and education centre in collaboration with the Local Council of Salacea and the County Council of Bihor. On the Hungarian side, smaller rehabilitation works were carried out inside the Exhibition Centre from Gyula managed by the Water Directorate of Körös-Valley in the former bath house of the town, now a protected monument, where a permanent interactive exhibition will be created showing the history of the area, of the multiple uses of water and related culture during the past centuries. Beside the organisation of events (exhibitions in Otomani and Gyula), the elaboration of promotional materials (leafleats, brochures, webpage, short film) is also included among the activities.
