Our school has participated in a number of international acivities for a long time and our aim has been to continue in this trend and increase the staff qualifications. The project purpose has been to make the lessons innovative, up-to-date, more effective and more attractive, especially foreign language lessons. The project consisted of 4 courses focused on CLIL, methodology of a foreign language, realia, literature, history of English speaking countries and ICT technologies. A lot of new materials and ideas for activities were brought from all of the courses. They are being used in lessons and they have made them more varied and attractive. The students´ motivation to learn foreign languages has been enhanced. The project participants have gained new knowledge, resources and ideas, they communicated with native speakers and learnt about the lifestyle of the English speaking countries, which contributes to their personal and professional development. The increased interest of their students in new activities and methods brings them work satisfaction and their results motivate them to lifelong learning. Thanks to the courses our teachers obtained new contacts from foreign colleagues and schools they would like to cooperate with in the future. One of the project participants has already worked on an e-Twinning project. As a part of dissemination we organised meetings with presentations for teachers from our school and other schools in the region. Based on our surveys it was found out that they would also like to take part in the Erasmus+ programme. The school´s participation in the project has been positively perceived by the public, has increased the school´s credit in our region and might contribute to an icreased interest in studying at our school.
