Our school is a small village school consisting of kindergarten, primary school and secondary school. The predominant aim of our school is to prepare our students for further education and life in a fast developing world of the twenty-first century. For the sake of our students the teaching staff have decided to take part in Erasmus + Programme and created a project which gives chances to enrich school educational offer and to give it a more European profile. Participation in the project will help overcome the main problems of our school. The main aims of the project are the following:- to enhance competences of nursery teachers- to introduce and propagate professional and innovative teaching methods- to modernize teaching system and develop Information Technology skills- to give school more European profile - to increase the effectiveness of pedagogical measures and to improve the cooperation with students and parents Six out of 20 teachers working in our school are taking part in the project. These are:- Headmaster- English teacher- coordinator (counsellor of student union)- German teacher (leader of humanistic team)- Information Technology teacher (form teacher)- Kindergarten teacher (form teacher)- Maths teacher (form teacher and leader of maths- science team)Thanks to those school staff members we will get a complex plan of innovations of our school, which will embrace many aspects of school activity. The participants of the project know their teaching needs and school educational needs. They realise that they will be responsible for incorporating and popularizing knowledge and skills acquired during international courses. All the teachers will participate in language and methodological courses which enable them to hone professional skills. German teacher will take part in language-methodological course for German teachers during which he will be familiarized with new techniques of teaching students on different levels. It will be helpful for her to introduce German teaching as a form of innovation in the primary school. English teacher will participate in two language- methodological courses which will enable her to broaden her knowledge of methodology of English language teaching and of British culture. It will also provide her with practical, interesting ideas and activities useful for teaching English as a foreign language.Kindergarten teacher will participate in methodological course in order to enhance her language competences, verify kindergarten teaching methods and introduce innovative ones. All participant will take part in a specially organized course in Italy. This course will teach us how to use computer programs and Web platforms to modernize classes. This course will also provide us with practical techniques for building solid parent-teacher and student-teacher relationships. It's worth emphasizing that the joint training is extremely important since all its participants play an important role in our school, know its needs and will develop methods to build positive relationships with students and parents. The large number of teachers participating in this training (30 per cent of our school staff) will allow for better and more accurate training of the remaining school staff after the mobility. Also, the scope of the developed methods and acquired skills will be bigger and more thoroughly implemented. We believe that such a training structure triggers a spirit of cooperation and gives the sense of responsibility for a joint project. The Erasmus + participation will enrich our school with the professionally trained staff. Better language and computer skills and innovative teaching methods will modernize teaching in our school. Students will be more involved in lessons by using ICT tools. The attractive form of classes will greatly increase the involvement of students, which in turn will affect the academic performance and the results of national tests. In addition, the new image of the teacher will positively affect their relationship with students. International contacts will result in interesting projects between schools and will undoubtedly increase the knowledge of foreign languages in our school. Students will make international friends and get to know differences between countries as well as will learn acceptance and cultural tolerance. Thanks to knowledge and abilities gained during Erasmus + courses, our school will promote European model of teaching. Sharing experiences with teachers from other European Union countries and international cooperation will have a great influence on changing the image of our school and putting it above the others in Lisia Gora commune.
