Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Secondary school Hrvatski kralj Zvonimir from Krk is, in every respect, “the school for the island”, an institution which has always tried to match the needs of the island’s society and economy. Most of our students opt for general-education high school programme, while there are also vocational programmes for hotel and tourism technicians, economists, caterers and engineers. Our school wants to become the place for educating quality personnel which will be able to respond to the changing labour market needs. By looking into self-evaluation results, we have determined several areas for improvement: improvement of management skills, improvement of professional teaching competences and introducing new teaching and learning methods. With the project Innovative teachers for 21st century school we plan professional trainings for our teachers on international level, which would not be possible without support of lifelong learning programme Erasmus+.Professional training of teachers throughout international courses, as well as exchange of knowledge and experience with partners from different European educational systems, will enable its application in future work and development of our school. Our partner organisations come from different European countries, members of EU – Greece and Italy. These are all well-respected educational institutions of aforementioned countries, specialized in professional training of teachers, and therefore, their experience will contribute to specialization and training of the teachers, members of the mobility programme. Exchange of experience with colleagues form different EU countries will contribute to internationalisation of our school and its approach to European educational goals. This mobility, which includes 8 teachers or 20% of the overall number of teaching staff in our school, implies creating an expert team which would disseminate the newly acquired experiences and motivate their colleagues in creating new teaching methods and future projects. The goal of this mobility project is professional training of teaching staff, who will, by acquiring competences, qualify the students for advancement of their key and transversal competences levels. Development of innovative pedagogical approaches and exchange of case studies, in cooperation with partner organisations, will lead to improvement of quality of education. During the project activities, the teaching staff will be trained to apply innovative methods of teaching. The acquired competences in the area of start-up businesses, circular economy and sustainable development, as well as the influence of different cultures and traditions on the entrepreneurial ambience, are to be integrated into the teaching curriculum, and the programme of facultative entrepreneurial subjects for general-education high school programme. The newly acquired management competences for planned innovations in educational process will enable better supervision over certain activities and possible corrections, with the aim of acquiring the best results in the overall school functioning. At the end of the project cycle, the teaching staff will master the process of team planning and interdisciplinary teaching on certain subjects. Connecting theory with practice and everyday situations will become a permanent activity of each teacher. Upon completion of the mobility, the team of teachers, members of this project, will start working on creating teachers’ reference book (methodical book) of innovative teaching and learning methods. Digital methodical reference book is planned to be published within six months of the end of mobility and will be used in future planning and creation of the education process. Internationalisation and enrichment of our own experience will enhance the quality of our teaching process, which, in turn, will result in greater motivation of our students, better quality of their education and its application in work process. With more professional staff the school will become a direct participant of productive economy, by which more efficient bond will be created between the education system and economy itself.
