The Wine Tourism and wine imparting identity to several destinations is a universal practice. It is one of the main sources of tourism revenue in organized wine-producing countries, where the assumption of enjoyment of wine is an important part of culture and everyday life. How will ENOAP utilize its wine producing regions?
The Peloponnese is a place with a long tradition both in tourism and wine, the "marriage" of these two concepts is a desirable challenge but difficult. This is because, contrary to what most believe, visiting a winery is only a small piece of the puzzle of wine tourism.
The basic needs of wineries and HR managers of ENOAP is wine producers of the Peloponnese to get to know successful good practices and ways of organizing wine tourism destinations such as the Barcelos region and Porto in Portugal, which is within the 10 best destinations in the world for wine tourism (CAPITAL OF WINE DESTINATION). More specifically the need for the implementation of this action focuses on the following:
• Strengthen the income of wine producers,
• Knowledge of the benefits of this form of tourism,
• Understanding the habits and requirements of the consumers interested in gastronomic tourism.
• Strengthening employment with new forms of development such as wine tourism.
The Wine Tourism is a mild form of sustainable tourism development and activity in rural areas, which has as its goals:
• To contribute so the visitor can experience rural areas, rural occupations, local products, traditional cuisine and the daily lives of residents, the culture and the authentic features of the area.
• To bring visitors closer to nature and activities in relation to wine, where you can participate, be entertained and feel the joy of touring, learning and discovery.
• To mobilize the productive, cultural and developmental forces of the country, thus contributing to sustainable environmental, economic and social development of rural areas
The expected results that will arise from the implementation of the Plan, focus on following:
1. Supplement and improvement of agricultural income.
2. Improvement of living and working conditions of rural population.
3. Retaining the rural population in the place of residence.
4. Improvement and utilization of local agricultural products.
5. Environmental Protection.
6. Preservation, promotion and development of architectural and cultural heritage, and finally
7. Development of Wine Tourism that has growing demand of foreign and domestic markets.
The participants, in order to differentiate their services in their businesses and to compete and to seek opportunities to acquire new knowledge and getting more professional experience, in order to turn to training content which present demand. But in order for this shift to be substantial it requires training on a range of issues relating to new trends in the business sectors in which active and who have a need for education. Because the opportunity to gain that experience in Greece is extremely limited, this project aims to fill this weakness while affording them the opportunity to contact and meet respective educational bodies and foreign companies.
Under this strategy the MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT is the implementation of training to selected foreign organizations so managers and workforce managers to acquire new knowledge and skills that will open up new perspectives on their business.
The host organization Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade (AIAM) chosen for the implementation of the program is a training organization with extensive experience in adult education in Portugal.
This option is not accidental but the result of a long collaboration that was developed by ENOAP in matters of Education and partnerships concerning the subject matter training. The program will be implemented for 10 days in Portugal involving 24 participants- human resources managers-in order to specialize and to inform their personnel.
