The project prepared by Zespół Szkół Energetycznych in Gdańsk will be called „Informatyk na arenie międzynarodowej” („IT technician on the international market”). We have decided to create the project to enable our graduates to have a better chance to begin an independent adult life in the light of current job market situation. We see a great possiblity of development of our school and our graduates in the CLIL educational system. In order to create a CLIL IT technician group in the academic year 2016/2017, it is neccessary to properly train the teaching staff in our school. A group of 15 teachers, who will later become the teaching staff of the above mentioned class, will participate in the project. These are mainly the teachers of vocational subjects including IT, Mathematics, Geography, Introduction to Business, Chemistry as well as the teachers of English. The teachers will participate in courses which will improve their language skills, methodological techniques as well as currently used vocational vocabulary. The teachers of English will aim at improving their own academic skills, student motivation techniques as well as effective learing styles. During the course, the teaching staff will have an opportunity to talk to and exchange experiences with the representatives of various schools from different countries participating in the project, and later on to stay in regular touch with them. The main outcome of the project will be creating a CLIL IT technician group. In our school, we will establish a group of excellently trained teaching staff ready to continue educating CLIL group in the following years. In the future, there is a possiblity that new groups will be created in different profile classes.
