The consortium is formed of partners covering a wide EU area matching less experienced local authorities with more advanced regions/cities; moreover different contexts have been chosen in order to study solutions that can be transferable in the widest range of countries Achievements: The ISPEED project focuses on the development of ICT as key to improve the European Tourism Economy competitiveness and sustainability. The project kicked off in Venice on 18 Feb '10 when the PSG (Political Steering Group), which provides strategic guidance and the Steering Group (SG) in charge of the strategic decisionmaking were established. Each partner produced a SWOT analysis. SWOT results were presented during the 1st workshop Exchange of experiences held in Hamar on 26 May '10. In this occasion, the SG appointed the internal evaluator and the working group in charge of collecting best practices and benchmarking and 4 categories were identified to structured the Good Practices (GP) Guide: Promotion; Travel planning; Destination monitoring; Enhancing the quality of the destination. 1st draft of the GP Guide was discussed during the 2nd wsp in Heraklion on 21 Sept '10.The 1st PSG meeting was held in Powys on 9 Feb 2011 to analyse and validate project results. The politicians round table focussed on the ICT Policies planned/implemented to boost Tourism Economy and future scenarios. The interactive session was meant to assess politicians evaluation of project priorities. The PSG was broadly in line with the work carried out and, even if partner cities and regions conditions are different, the interactive session emphasized that they share the same goals and ideas. The 3rd wsp GP analyses was organised by Rome (Bracciano) in May '11. It aimed at discussing the 2nd draft of the Guide and at preparing the practices transfer among partners. Each partner filled in 2 transferability templates about the good practices they'd like to import: the 13 selected practices were discussed and analysed through presentations and group discussions.P1, P2, P3 P10 met in Rome in Oct '11 to discuss the latest version of the GP Guide and to plan the PSG meeting to be held in 2012. The internal evaluator carried out two surveys to investigate partners and politicians level of satisfaction. The surveys results were very good and were presented and analysed within the MidTerm Evaluation Report. The 2nd PSG was held in Warsaw on Jan 17-18 2012; politicians discussed about I-SPEED impact and about the policy recommendations. 3 external politicians from Italy (Turin), Poland (Krakow) and Sweden (West Sweden Region) attended the meeting. A multimedia Chopin path site visit was organized. On 24-25 2012 in Nantes the last project workshop took place: partners evaluated and analysed project results in order to prepare the contents of the key deliverables addressed to disseminate and transfer good practices. Site visits where organized in the innovation and creative district. In June was published the last version of the good practice guide, while the transfer process has been proceeding in Powys,Warsaw and Galicia. Regarding dissemination, the project website is on line from April '10 and it has about 1600 visits per month. The social media contacts are ca 450 (mostly on Facebook/Twitter) 1 eTourism Spanish blog posted an ISPEED review. In Oct '10 ISPEED was published on the ePractice.eu. 5 newsletters were created and distributed; some were translated in Bulgarian/Greek. 2 leaflets were created by P2 and 3000 copies sent to the partners. 18 local dissemination events have been organized (notably 1 interregional event with +100 attendees has been organized in Heraklion in April 12); ISPEED was presented in 44 meetings and events. 33 media appearances have been collected, including an interview on a relevant Italian magazine (eGov) and an article on Welsh magazine Red Kite (40.000 copies).
