Project addresses the issues related to increasing of patriotism of local youth in the Daugavpils, Kraslava and Utena communities located in the nature protected areas of Augšdaugava, LV and Aukštaitija, LT. Project duration 12 months. Geographic areas: Kraslava and Daugavpils municipalities,LV, Utena district,LT. Background: Both Kraslava and Daugavpils municipalities, LV and Utena ,LT are located in the territory of unique nature projected areas: national UNESCO territory Augsdaugava, LV and national park of Aukstaitija, LT. The problems defined: 1) inhabitants of all 3 communities doesnt have full information on the local values of their and neighbors nature capital and at the same time they doesnt have the sufficient local patriotism feeling; 2) Augšdaugava,LV and Aukštaitija,LT doesn't have sufficient social networking for popularization for the 2 nature protected areas; 3) local youth are not satisfied with the outside public recreation possibilities located in the own communities, and they are not actively involved into the development planning of their living environment; 4)In the modern world the youth living in towns, where deteriorating environmental factors also are isolated from nature. Deficit of emotional enrichment affects the youth that shows no mercy and compassion to his neighbor. Objective: To contribute of increasing of patriotism of local youth in the Daugavpils, Kraslava and Utena communities located in the nature protected areas of Augšdaugava, Latvia and Aukštaitija, Lithuania. Sub-objectives: 1.To involve local youth into the planning of towns and nature parks in Kraslava, Daugavpils, LV, Utena , LT by organizing a nature camp, 2 workshops and preparing technical documentation for 3 public recreation places. 2.To increase the public awareness of their own nature capital and local nature values of nature protected areas of Augšdaugava, Latvia and Aukštaitija, Lithuania by developing promotion materials, organizing 3 active &creative regional open days and a conclusion event. Partnership: Municipalities of Kraslava,Daugavpils,LV,Utena , LT. Activities: 2 SC, 4 WG, 2 Nature and towns parks planning workshops, 9-day camp, 3Active and creative regional opendays, Conclusion event in Kraslava LV, edition of promotion materials, preparing TD for 3 parks. Expected cross border outputs and effect on project target groups:1)Solving of common problems in frame of the CBC project will give benefit to all PPs by involving youngsters into planning workshops and through them increase patriotism feeling 2)Common image of Partners communities and LV, LT border regions will be improved;3)Youngsters will be motivated to participate at the creation of favorable life environment in the regions they are living, the feeling belong to the place will be stressed; 4)Dialogue between authorities and youngsters will be activated;5)Information distributed and works done on both sides of the border will bring neighbors closer. Expected Results: Greater CBC interaction and more efficient dialogue between 3 municipalities and their 45 youngsters will be activated on cross border level in the project target teritory in eastern regions of LT and LT. Improvement of objects for the creation of favourable life environment and recreation places will stress inhabitants' feeling belong to the place. Implemented project on both sides of the border will bring neighbours closer. 3 creative and active regional openday "Augsdaugava and Aukštaitija" in Kraslava, Daugavpils LV,Utena LT, 200 hundred participants in each event consisting of kids from kinder-gardens with parents,pupils from local schools with parents.Workshops with artists,Photo studio with animals,Films about 2 nature protected areas,presentation of booklet"Augšdaugava and Aukstaitija values through youth eyes",exhibition of students works from competition of camp.
