IN.TRA.NET - Innovation Transfer Network

IN.TRA.NET. aims to transfer the innovative VET system based on accessing remote laboratories developed by the University of Sannio to VET system. Remote learning system allowing SME workers to make experiments using by remote real electronic and control apparatus as if they were in a real laboratory, because the experimentation is a key aspect of every learning process and because laboratories of this type, both public and private, are not necessarily present and accessible in every society. The main goal of IN.TRA.NET. is to define a didactic methodology, supported by distance/remote learning technologies, to transfer of innovative information concerning the electronic and control apparatus branch to improve the competitiveness of SMEs. In the specific the project aims to favour the international competition of European SMEs that acquiring new knowledges regarding the use of last generation electronic and control apparatus as PLC, measurement instrumentation, numerical control machine, may to improve their competitiveness, to better the quality of the final products, decreasing the updating costs of workers and the production costs. The target groups involved by the proposal can be different categories of SMEs operating in different fields as automotive, manifacturing, measurement and so on. Moreover this e-learning system will be a multilanguage environment to favour the cooperation between the different partners and to deliver the didactic services developed also to enterprises of other European Countries. The main target groups are the SMEs’ workers and specialized technicians and the principle objective is to promote the continuous updating of the chosen targert groups. A preliminary needs analysis shows it’s necessary to repeat several times the same experience on actual conditions of physical phenomena. At the same time the use of electronic apparatus in the SMEs is growing and it’s very important to guarantee a high competitiveness in the world market. Nowday there are a lot of SME categories using every day different electronic apparatus as electronic devices (waveform generators, oscilloscopes, FFT analyzers) and control devices (PLC, numerical control machine). In fact an hard use of these apparatus is present in the automotive sector and in the telecommunication sector but involves also all societies that have an automatic control of own production lines. For these reasons the important diffusion of complex electronic apparatus includes the necessary updating for SME technicians because in this way the SMEs may to acquire specific and innovative skills to improve own competitiveness. With the IN.TRA.NET. environment is possible to access to didactic courses from any place and in any time of day and to acquire important and innovative informations concerning the practical use of electronic devices controlling by remote real instrumentation through an only easy web browser like Internet explorer. This allows the house updating of workers and to eliminate the high costs regarding the personnel moves and the costs concerning the experts parcel. The quality of the consortium assures the achievement of the presaged objectives. In fact the University of Sannio and the University of kosice works in the field of Electronic apparatus from a lot of years. The researchers of the University of Sannio have specific skills also in the e-learning sector and have signed different collaboration with Italian Industry working in telecommunication and automotive field as Ferrari, Telsey SpA and so on. This knowledge is proved by a lot of national and international collaborations with some societies as DidaNetwork - project applicant - leader Italian VET and distance learning organization. The Industry Union of Benevento will consent the dissemination and exploitation of the results not only for the local SMEs but also for other SMEs linked to Industry Union of other Italian regions.
