IN-DIVERSITY – Managing cultural diversity

The cultural diversity is inevitable in the XXI century society, the migrant movements make Europe more heterogeneous and open, and it demands that the labour market and the enterprises search for the specific value that the diversity gives. The presence of people from other cultures in the labour market has been increased, but no progress has been made in the design and implementation of specific policies for managing diversity and the promotion of intercultural dialogue in enterprises. It is predictable that the employers consider more and more the diversity as an element to manage in their companies, and that they need specific training to qualify them in order to integrate the differences of the workers, include cultural, in the culture of the organization.The main goal of this project has been giving to the labour market management and training tools to manage the cultural diversity in the companies. It allowed the transference of innovative products of the project “Diversity Management Tools for the Workplace – DiManT”: e-learning about diversity management in the workplace and the Diversity Management Toolkit) to other partner countries, adapting them to each legal, culture and language reality, and added this training contents to the vocational training offer of each of them. All the organizations took part of this project mostly developed research about training in the companies’ environment, offered vocational training to workers, included managers, and to enterprises, and have a lot of experience in the development of European projects.
