Achievements: The overall objective of the project was achieving balanced sustainable development build upon the key strengths of the Bulgaria-Turkey cross-border co-operation area in contribution to stronger European co-operation and integrity. The project focused on common labour market needs on both sides of the border and contributed to human resources development in order to both meet demands of the labour market in the target regions – Uzunkopru and Haskovo - and to support vulnerable people through providing an opportunity to develop their occupational skills. A series of trainings in dairy cattle breeding and forage plant cultivation have been organized for target groups which enhanced their occupational capacities according to labour market needs. A local milk festival in Uzunkopru created social links between partnering regions and served for dissemination purposes by attracting attention to project outcomes of relevant society actors (public authorities, NGO representatives, milk and dairy products related firms etc.). The project has been completed in June 2012.
