Improving organization, methodology and techniques around Europe in the Anti-Violence Adult Education Centres

“Differenza Donna” was born in Rome on 6th May, 1989, with the aim to make gender-based violence emerge, known, fought, prevented and overcome. Today it is an association with approximately 100 partners, chairman, board of directors, board of trustees, partner meetings. The partners can work as volunteer teachers, after attending a theoretical and practical basic course for a period of nine months.
The association carries out so many activities thanks to the presence of a large number of professional people and among the many activities, it organizes training courses for new operative roles and for professionals already working, it informs about fighting gender based violence in schools, manages anti-stalking help desks and legal assistance, supports self- help groups. The associations strategic mission tool are the anti-violence centers.
“Differenza Donna” is the major Italian reference regarding gender-based violence and therefore feels the need to communicate with foreign realities to enhance its services. Selected study visits and training course programs will give the staff new perspectives, knowledge, skills and competencies in management- organization, didactic-methodological, promotional-communication.
The aim of the mobility project regards moments of exchange of good practices, organization growth, individual training on the issue of violence against women and the management of anti-violence centers.
“Differenza Donna”, through this European mobility program WITH OTHER ANTI-VIOLENCE and adult training centers, in order to effectively pursue the social inclusion of users, with particular regard to those with disabilities, wants to expand and improve their training offer.
In particular the objectives are:
Organize new basic courses in Italian and English language, information technology and professional orientation paths to incentivize the re-integration of disadvantaged women in the world of work.
Improve tools and techniques used in all training courses and import tools not used and widespread in Italy on trade and gender-based violence.
Increase course offers for professional workers in anti-violence centers (increase number of places, spread this type of course in other territorial contexts, offer internships abroad)
To make professional anti-violence worker courses recognized at national and European level.
Hereunder are the summarized details of the planned mobility and relative to professional profiles considered suitable to the different training activities:

2. nr.1 Erasmus Project Manager: Carla Sabatini to Bronderslev, Denmark and to Bruxelles, Belgium
3. nr.2 Criminal Psychologist: Rosalba Taddeini to London – Bristol, Great Britain and to Madrid – Barcelona, Spain; Alexandra Di Giuseppe to Patrasso, Greece
4. nr.2 Educator: Gianna Giovannangeli to Phorzheim, Germany; Stella Isacchini to Pforzheim and Stuttgart ,Germany
5. nr.2 Administrative Management: Maria Palazzesi to Paris, France; Giovanna Natali to Warszawa, Poland
6. nr.1 Lawyer: Rossella Benedetti to Barcelona, Spain
7. nr.1 Associate: Giuditta Giunti to Stockholm, Sweden
The project activities regard:
-Inform personnel on mobility opportunities.
-Select personnel to send on mobility
-Prepare linguistic contents
-Assistance and logistic support to initiate contacts with host person, reach destination and accommodation, enroll to courses and events.
-Videoconferences and communication via skype with participants
-Evaluation of acquired competences
-Dissemination of acquired competences
With the realization of this project “Differenza Donna” will increase its training offer, both in terms of quantity with the increase in the number of courses activated and their dissemination in other national contexts , and in qualitative terms , importing best practices and tools not used or widespread in Italy , with the intent to make the anti-violence training course for professional workers recognized at level national and European level
different target groups will benefit from the results
- in the short term: participants will gather experiences in their relational, cultural and professional baggage, European partners will have the opportunity to establish long-term relationships with a European planning perspective and acquire tools and methods
- in the Medium and long term : the users of the updating courses will be trained on the basis of innovative contents and tools and recognized with a specific qualification , the users of the Centres that will follow updated paths of professional support in the world of work.
