Date du début: 30 avr. 2013, Date de fin: 30 oct. 2014 PROJET  TERMINÉ

South-East region in Estonia and Vidzeme region in Latvia are strategically important regions for transport and logistics due to their geographical position in Baltic States using large and/or heavy motor vehicles. Two important transport corridors in the area are Pskov-Riga and Võru-Valga-Valmiera highways, which are actively used for haulage of goods in EU, West-East direction, and between South- Estonia and North-Latvia. Achievements: The total length of the reconstructed road is 16,118 km, out of those 8,926 km on the Estonian side and 7,192 on the Latvian side of the border, including road 68 Mõniste-Estonian/Latvian border, 2 stretches of road P19 from Riga-Pskov highway to the Estonian/Latvian border, 2 stretches of road P39 from Aluksne to Ape and 1 stretch of a municipal street in Ape town. The road reconstruction improves the traffic safety in Ape-Mõniste and Aluksne-Ape roads for trucks, cars, bicycles and pedestrians. It also improves traffic conditions, especially for heavy trucks, which fosters cargo haulage in the West-East direction of EU and local cargo haulage between South-East Estonia and North-Latvia .
