Improvement of intercultural and project management skills, European development of the school.
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 1 juin 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

As the world is growing smaller and smaller every day and jobs are becoming more international, it is important for our school to show example to our pupils and prepare them for European labour markets and for intercultural communication. This is why we also want to promote the education of our teachers so they can work as forerunners and examples for our pupils. In a common Europe, management skills and intercultural competences are the key to success. This is why Helsingin yhteislyseo is applying for a two-year grant in order to send four of its teachers on training courses in Portugal in years 2015-2017. The courses are aimed at promoting project management and interculutral communication within Europe. The teachers chosen to participate are trusted members of the school staff representing language teachers as well as teaching drama and social sciences. The participating teachers have already taken part in one previous Comenius-project as project partners, and both the teachers and the administration of the school consider it important to keep working on the common projects across Europe. We also hope to take up new projects like eTwinning and Erasmus+ and we wish to carry more responsibility in our upcoming projects and therefore training courses in management would be beneficial for the whole community. After the teachers of our school will participate on the training courses in Portugal, they will be able to introduce new staff members of our own school into the projects to come. The training courses will be presented to the whole school staff and any new interested parties may be trained to participate. As new connections across Europe will be made on the courses and new partnerships can be established with other participating European schools, new student projects can be planned and founded at our school. This will promote the aforementioned interculutural communications and prepare our youth for the future as European citizens. Participating in this project will bring both motivation and inspiration to the whole school from pupils to teachers and other staff members.
