With the improvement of image based radiation therapy for cancers in Bihar-Bihor Region, the project aim is to continue to deliver radiotherapy service on the Principles of Clinical Governances by continuously improving the quality of services delivered, modernising the treatment capacity of the region, improving the outcomes of cancer care for patients in the Bihar-Bihor region, delivering treatment within national waiting time guidelines, ensuring equity of access to radiotherapy services to the population served. These aims can be achieved through the provision of intensity-modulated radiotherapy based on high energy linear accelerator and associated facilities in the Radiotherapy Department of Debrecen University and development of immobilization and image acquisition and acquisition of a server computer for the file transfer and management at University of Oradea. Staff training and patient education, research on the quality of life of patients and comprehensive audits of radiotherapy practices in Bihar-Bihor region are also important part of project. The target groups are people diagnosed with cancer in the region.
