This staff training project saught to improve the quality of Eira High School for Adults' services in four main areas. Language Testing, Careers Advice, Adult Literacy Education and European Project Management. The project consisted of 10 different mobilities all to training events and courses within Europe. Partcipating in this project were Language Teachers and Testing staff, a Student Counselor, our Marketing Officer and Erasmus Coordinator. The context of the project was the aim to improve education services to adult immigrants, a sector in which Eira High School is a leading provider in Finland. This project saught to broaden and deepen the expertise of Eira staff in language testing and adult literacy, develop language skills and awareness of the European funding framework. The major impact of the project was in terms of improved services offered to students and the development of a more secure network of international contacts for Eira High School. Contacts which we can build towards envisaged future strategic partnership projects.
