Project Title: IMPROVE YOURSELF-IMPROVE THE WOLRD" Training on Basic Communication and self marketing skills for young artists in search of employment opportunitiesProject Venue: Armenia, YerevanActivity dates: February 19 - 28, 2016This will be a 10 days training (including travel days) with participation of 40 participants f( from 7 countries of EU and Eastern partnership-Sweden (5), Italy(5), Greece(5), Armenia(10), Georgia (5), Ukraine(5), Moldova (5) who will come together and carry out this specific training project.The applicant organization of the project is FORCEFUL FEELINGS DANCE COMPANY /Swedenand the hosting organization "FUTURE BRIDGES"NGO/Armenia. All the 10 members of the Armenian teams will be Syrian Armenian refugees, young people departing their homelands due to Syrian war in 2011, and currently facing different economic, social problems and difficulties.There will be 6 participants from each of the 6 partner countries. The age of the core group of young participants will be 18-33 youth leaders -33 and above. the gender balance of the participants will be kept. There will be 20 males and 20 females .MAIN GOAL of the project is to help young people of different cultures and nations in search of employment opportunities to become more competent and increase their chances for finding relevant jobs . The principal skills that participants will acquire are self-marketing, auto-evaluation, developing improvement plan. The principal topics include - demand on the market and employer, job interviews, evaluation of communication process and improvement plan.THE MAIN OBJECTIVES of the project are 1- To create a common platform for inter-personal and inter-cultural exchange of experiences for a group of 40 young people (5 participants from each country ) with different social economic and political backgrounds facing the same needs and problems of finding relevant jobs. 2) Assessing participants personal needs related with unemployment problem participants will be given opportunity to present their individual needs, exchange experiences, raise their concerns related with unemployment problem and develop collective approach of strategies, steps and solutions with joint efforts. 3) To improve personal and interpersonal communication & marketing skills, to increase their self-knowledge, self-confidence and self- esteem which will raise their chances for finding relevant job opportunities. THE METHODS used for achieving those goals will be organizing trainings and workshops through non-formal educational methods, using creative process- acting, role-playing, sketching, games, pantomime, music and other forms of self expression and performance as a main tool for developing effective communication and presentation skills.THE MAIN NEEDS AND ISSUES addressed - Setting up career goals, objectives, shifts of paradigms and their reflection in achieving our objectives- Developing effective personal and inter-personal communication skills -including - Improving writing and oral communication skills which are key factors for effective communication and impressive self-presentation (writing impressive Cvs, Resumes, Reports, thank you letter, cover letters, reports, project proposals and descriptions)- Effective listening and speaking skills ( question formulation, filtering messages, understanding job requirements, telephone conversations, tips for succeeding in job interviews, negotiations and self-marketing- Public speaking skills- conducting impressive presentations, using body language, eye contact attracting the audience- Self-knowledge - Revealing self weaknesses and strengths, working towards improving those using tips for increasing self confidence, self esteem- Basic Marketing skills, using Internet as a main tool for self marketing, product development and sales
