Immersion et formation linguistiques des enseignants
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The vocational High School "La Providence" hosts students who have big learning difficulties and a poor command of language skills. It often constitutes an obstacle to access higher education and provide the basis for greater mobility in the labour market. Consequently, the staff as well as the language and professional teachers always have to update their teaching methods in order to make students progress and to make them feel more self-confident with languages. The open-mindedness becomes an incentive for our students' improvements and a good command of language skills is one of its main tools. Thanks to these work placements, the school permitted to 4 teachers (both of linguistic and non-linguistic subjects) to go on a one-week training course abroad, in one of the European countries. Carrying out an immersion training course and sharing similar experiences and ideas with colleagues from other European regions may be an asset in the staff training as well as for the students' work placements. Indeed, the staff mobility may help to motivate our own students to go abroad. The school would like some members of the teaching staff and some other members to take part in some immersion courses in foreign countries (one week). Thanks to these European programs (k101, k102 and k103), all the high school (both vocational and technical) does its best to implement its cultural opening to Europe to show that the all the members of the community (teachers, staff and students) can be all involved in this project (the result of the project 2016 k101 will make us feel more confident in this will). During this training period, the linguistic and relational impacts are evident but the impact in terms of personal interactions is far from being secondary. This experience is an opportunity to establish new contacts with members from other European countries and to enhance the links with our partners in the other European projects.
