At present, the participant has a single language qualification and is seeking dual qualification. The participant is currently learning Spanish through the University of Dundee as a distance learning student. Miss Morris hopes to secure a permanent position and 2 languages is often desirable. Miss Morris has shown commitment and dedication to achieving this by undertaking language courses in her own time. Miss Morris appreciates the value of being dual qualified with regards to her own personal improvement and employment opportunities, but is also very keen and dedicated to ensure that she is able to meet the learning needs of the pupils she teaches. As part of the course that Miss Morris is undertaking, it would be extremely valuable for her to spend time in the foreign country so as to improve her confidence and capabilities with Spanish, and to revise and improve her French speaking competencies. Miss Morris is keen to make the most of her opportunity to attend these immersion courses and hopes that they will improve the opportunities for links to be made between Meldrum Academy and schools across the UK and Europe.
