The "Immigration in the ethical and political choices of young people" is placed in the context of current social challenges facing Europe posed by immigration waves affecting all Member States, especially the youth because of inevitably arising contacts between them and immigrant youth in educational institutions, on the labor market, in terms of daily activities, as young parents, in the expression of a cultural values, striving for self-affirmation and quality of life, etc. For this reason the problems of migration have become an integral part of the youth policies of the EU and involvement of young people in the development of these policies is a prerequisite for their effectiveness.The project creates a forum for meeting and dialogue between young people from Northwest Bulgaria and responsible representatives for youth policies and immigration, on which political professionals and experts will present to young people the lines of these policies in the EU and Bulgaria, their grounds and long-term prospects. For their part young people will present their views and assessments of the political landscape in the field of youth and immigration thus contributing to the enrichment of viewpoints and information in policymaking. Young people will take part in the structured dialogue after a training and increased knowledge and skills in the subject specifics of immigration and youth.The main aim of the project is to realize an exchange of views, suggestions and ideas between youth representatives and responsible social and political leaders on existing and future youth policies relating to immigration and measures to achieve the integrity of youth communities and creating an exemplary model for youth regional unity to contribute to national and European policies.The seminar meeting will be held in the town of Vidin. It will involve 60 young people selected on the basis of certain criteria and requirements. The age limits for young people is 18-30 years. Through factor for the selection of participants will be sought to balance gender equality. Partners in the project will be government bodies of youth and immigration policies through its responsible experts - State Agency for Refugees, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Youth and Sports.The project will implement the following activities: management and organization of the project, training workshops, preparation of targeted social activities, conducting workshops, monitoring and quality control of the implementation and results dissemination of project results. Basic methodological framework for the conduct of the meeting are the tools of formal training and conference discussions. All discussions and conclusions will be documented and processed for presentation of results and impact on the participants.As a result of the project the following results will be achieved: created an active core of youth from northwestern Bulgaria with competences on youth policies and immigration processes; increased level of knowledge, skills and attitudes of young people from different places in the target region on youth policy and immigration; a dialogue with responsible representatives of the government on the issues of youth and immigration; formulated and expressed position of the young participants on the status and future of youth and immigration policies; create a sustainable basis for meetings and consultation of young people and youth organizations with local and state authorities.IIn the long run the project will have an impact on the conditions of the establishment and adoption of youth policies - regional, and as a model that has the potential to grow, on national level; the role of youth organizations in the political decision making will be redefined and strengthened; greater objectivity in relation to the future of Europe among young people as multipliers of knowledge acquired during the workshop will be created; more initiative and activity among young people in the region will be fostered.
