The project "Improving the professional skills of students in an European environment" addresses to a number of 14 students of 11th grade (IVT target group), from the technological qualification – Environment Protection, who asked for the third level of qualifications – specialization: Ecologist Technician and Environment Quality Protection. The project comes out to encounter the professional development needs of the students and help them by providing an appropriate, modern facilities and equipment of Portuguese laboratories for environmental research. Thus they will be able to acquire new specialized knowledge, new skills and specific competencies for their qualification, that will enable them to effectively carry out water, air and soil quality analysis, to monitor environmental factors and to give them a real chance on the labor market and of winning "the battle" for a clean environment.The project supports the development of transferable key skills necessary for integration on the labor market, along with personal and social skills.The partnership is a partnership created between the Technical College "C. D. Nenitescu ", as promoter and the Portuguese companies Instituto de Saude Doutor Ricardo Jorge, Lisabona in whose laboratory our students will perform their respective internship. The intermediate partner will be CASA DA EDUCAÇÃO.The objectives that we propose are: 1. Developing specific skills in the field of environmental analysis and practical skills for a better transition to level 3 of qualifications, from school to active life and a good insertion on the professional labor market. 2. Improving language skills and create an open attitude towards the cultural diversity in Europe, by exploring a different living environment, traditions and customs of the Portuguese people.3. Developing capacity of team work in an intercultural environment, knowledge of individual responsibility towards the environment, knowledge of the opportunities offered by EU for its citizens.4. Creating a sustainable partnership between training institutions and European active companies in environmental protection domain.Thematic content of the placement include:1. Health and safety measures for working in environmental laboratories2. Specific instruments and equipments, specific methods for environmental assessment3. Physical-chemical and biological measures on different categories of water, air and soil.The project helps the local environmental authorities, economic agents in the area, which are our CDL partners, in implementing the program on "Physical-chemical and biological analysis on water quality, air and soil" that will be covered in the mobility. The project also helps for implementing EU requirements for a clean environment.The mobility will take place in: Lisbon, PortugalDates proposed for internship: 08/05/2017 - 28/05/2017Expected results: A better transition from school to active life and integration on the labor market, through a quality education in European space.
