The project reflects the new situation created in the EU countries and the negative impact of the economic crisis on the quality of life in Greece having as main characteristic the HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT (especially among young people and women), the COLLAPSE of traditional SECTORS of EMPLOYMENT and the agonizing search of employment in new sectors and, in particular, the PRIMARY SECTOR (GREEN FARMING). Epimorfotiki has promptly identified these needs and has adapted the European dimension of its activities in this direction by implementing projects for "Security Staff" and "Snail Farming" since 2013. In this planning were included also the issue of "aromatic plants cultivation", "energy audit of buildings", the "Green energy" etc. Thus, the project "ECO DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF AGRO FOOD SECTOR" was planned. The project focuses on two THEMATIC AXES: AROMATIC/MEDICINAL herbs traded with significant economic benefits, and HEALTH & SAFETY IN FOOD SECTOR, a fundamental criterion and a prerequisite for the running of a business of the chain manufacturing, packaging, storage, food handling. OBJECTIVES of the project are: -Promotion of the program ERASMUS+; -Enhancement of vocational education & LIFELONG LEARNING; -Reinforcement of participants’ Professional and personal profile; -Achievement of QUALITY LEARNING OUTCOMES and their exploitation; -Knowledge, abilities and skills to manage Adult Education; -Knowledge, skills and experiences in relation to the ecological development and management of agro-alimentary sector, paying particular attention on AROMATIC/MEDICINAL HERBS (cultivation, processing, packaging, marketing, marketing); - Knowledge, abilities and skills in relation to the HEALTH & SAFETY IN FOOD SECTOR (modern technology and equipment, European legislation, Standardization Standards, etc.); -Development of cooperation networks; -Economic growth, fighting unemployment; -Improve quality of life of European citizens; -Protection of Public health; -Exchange of good methods and practices. Epimorfotiki will collaborate with 3 Hosting Partners from EU countries. Totally, 60 participants will participate in the project. The project consists of 4 different FLOWS divided into 2 THEMATIC AXES, and each axes consists of 2 FLOWS: THEMATIC AXIS 1: AROMATIC/MEDICINAL PLANTS FLOW 1: Participants are 15 people, STAFF in VET working in Lifelong Learning enterprises and TRAINERS with specialties directly or indirectly related to the cultivation of A/M herbs. The FLOW is a "STAFF TRAINING ABROAD". FLOW 2: Participants are 15 APPRENTICES or VET STUDENTS from Greece, and/or recent graduates from VET SCHOOL or COMPANY. The FLOW is A "VET LEARNERS TRAINEESHIP IN COMPANIES ABROAD". THEMATIC AXIS 2 "HEALTH & SAFETY FOOD" FLOW 1: Participants are 15 people, STAFF in VET and TRAINERS with specialties directly or indirectly related to the HEALTH & SAFETY IN FOOD SECTOR. The FLOW is A "STAFF TRAINING ABROAD". FLOW 2: Participants are 15 APPRENTICES or VET STUDENTS from Greece, and/or recent graduates from VET SCHOOL or COMPANY. The FLOW is a "VET LEARNERS TRAINEESHIP IN COMPANIES ABROAD". METHODS that will be used: -During the Activities THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING will be implemented with lectures, research, visits to companies and institutions; -Collaboration Between partners and participants; -Monitoring/Evaluation of the project; -Creation of Results/deliverables of the project; -Activities of dissemination and exploitation of the project. The EXPECTED RESULTS are: -Exchange of KNOWLEDGE and adoption of BEST PRACTICES and EU RULES; -Participants will Exploit KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES in their professional and personal lives, improvement of their quality of life; -Cooperation Network between actors; - Participants EXTROVERSION; -Issuing of a MANUAL related to the THEMATIC AXIS with European best practices, standards and legislation; -Products for the Visibility of the project (logo, blog, newsletters, posters Facebook page, etc); -Recognition of by issuing the MOBILITY EUROPASS CERTIFICATE; -Use of European tools e.g. CV EUROPASS. The Project will have a positive impact on local, regional, national and European level. It creates a positive environment of cooperation and team spirit, solidarity and camaraderie between disciplines and promotes the concept of fair competition in terms of entrepreneurship. Partners will cooperate during the Project with local businesses and organizations. The outputs of the project will be disseminated and exploited at local, regional, national and European level. POSSIBLE & DESIRABLE LONG-TERM BENEFITS: Increasing employment in cultivating aromatic herbs; Development of green economy; Development and management of agro-alimentary sector; Improving adult education by using innovative tools; Cooperation in larger projects.
