The main objective of the project "IES VELA ZANETTI IN EUROPE" is meant not only to improve the English skills of our students, but to maintain and expand our bilingual educational offer to become the focal school in the area.This goal is to be achieved through the improvement of the language and professional skills of the English teachers and the teachers in the bilingual section; the acquisition of new teaching methods (blended learning, flipped classroom, etc.); the exchange of teaching methods and materials; the improvement of the management and organization of the school and the opening of our school to Europe through exchanges and cooperation with other schools.The IES Vela Zanetti has spent years developing activities related to its opening to Europe: implementation of bilingualism, study and exchange trips with other European countries, eTwinning projects and Job Shadowing... This project aims to reinforce these lines of work through the training and the methodological updating of its teachers.Therefore, we are requesting support to improve our mobility plan, more specifically two activities: - Structured courses which will be taught by prestigious institutions in the UK, aimed to: · improve and update both the language and the methodology skills of the English teachers (3 teachers) and the AICLE teachers (2 teachers of the bilingual section in different subjects). · adquire school management strategies, aimed at adapting to a changing and multicultural world, for a member of the Management Team. - Observation of Practice (Job Shadowing): two teachers of the bilingual section in Stolpedalsskolen, a Danish school with which we have had previous experience in an exchange programme. This activity will give us the opportunity to observe its functioning, attending and analyzing lessons, its organization and management in order to later implement and pass on the knowledge and experience gained to our school.All the participants have a B2-C1 level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) and have attended the course "Training in European Projects", which is where this project has been designed.The design and methodology of the project "THE IES VELA ZANETTI IN EUROPE" is based on collaborative work in this course, which has served to identify the needs of the teachers and the school to achieve the main objective. There, we have designed and planned the activities, the means and the recipients of it, as well as the assessment of its expected impact.The results of the project are specified in an improvement of the language and the methodological skills of the teachers, which will be introduced and disseminated in the school through: - Training channels: Training Course in European Projects, Bilingualism seminar, school training plans. - Coordination means: monthly newsletter and annual magazine of the school, web page and blogs, meetings of the Pedagogical Coordination Commission, Bilingual Coordination, English Department, etc., to expand its distribution beyond our school through the Teacher Training Centres.In short, with the implementation of this project, we intend to improve the language and methodological skills of teachers, which will affect, in turn, our students in multiple directions: academic training, motivation for taking part in future educational projects and self-confidence improving the image they have of themselves and expanding their working horizon and their desire to acquire a European citizenship dimension.
