This current school year the school has 571 enrolled students and 45 teachers. The school shows a high rate of early school dropout (around 40%) and its main problem is the lack of motivation for going on studying as well as the low prospects in students? academic performance and in future training found in the family environment. From 2008, the school teaches bilingual lessons within the Bilingual Sections Programme. Besides, it has taken part in 2 Comenius Multilateral Associations and in a MAC programme together with a school from Iceland. METHODOLOGY The school carries out every year a study about the academic needs and explains in inner projects proposals for improvement. One of the most important is the linguistic qualification in English of an enough number of teachers to consolidate and widen the Bilingual Sections programme and to foster the involvement of students in international programmes. Detected this need, the school established as a main aspect the active participation of the highest number of teachers in the continuous training within the Eramus+ programme. Relying on the experience in Multicultural Comenius Associations and MAC, the school gained access to the information about this programme and spread it among all the school staff. Coordinated by the Administration of the high school and the responsible of these programmes, the different departments detected their specific needs according to the goals of the school. Each department contacted via email with the organizing institutions of each educational action, they received an immediate answer and the confirmation of the admission in the requested course for each teacher. SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE RESULTS AND EXPECTED IMPACT The main expected result of these training actions is the certainty of counting on the greatest number of teachers certified with at least a B2 level of English to guarantee the appropriate functioning and the improvement in the quality of the Bilingual Sections programme. In a school with such a high rate of dropout among students, the teachers? training in European programmes and its start up is essential to foster prospects towards study in them. These programmes are inspiring a great amount of students making them discover other more exciting and motivating ways of learning. The broadcasting of these activities produces a big impact on all our pupils because they are checking that their classmates are able to put into practice successfully international programmes. BENEFITS IN THE LONG TERM - To achieve that all teachers take part in the European dimension of education being able to instill in our students the vital importance of the learning of foreign languages. - To promote in the school and in the town a favourable atmosphere towards the international training as a means of personal and economic growth.
