The project's title: IDEAL – Initiatives for Educational Development through Advanced Learning. This project was created in order to solve the problems our school was dealing with, namely our teachers’ training in using new techniques and web tools, computer programmes, tablets, applications and educational online platforms, as well as developing competences of collaborative project writing which should involve the students, by using Web 2.0 resources. The project has reflected an IDEAL - both for our teachers and especially for our pupils who expect modern education, following the European model. We have succeeded in achieving the following objectives: Our major objective has been the development of teachers' competences regarding the innovative and creative approach of the new digital devices (tablets, e-books, smart screens, the Internet) for the formation and development of digital competences for students. Our specific objectives have been: 1. Competence development for 5 primary school teachers in using tablets (Android, iPad, Windows) and associated resources, such as applications; collaborative writing, photo, video, podcast, presentations, gamification, computer, interactive board - aiming at the formation of digital competences for primary school pupils until August 2016. 2. Competence development for 5 middle/secondary school teachers in order to approach innovative strategies of teaching-learning-assessing by ICT and Web.2.0 resources and the use of working tools such as Blogs, Webs, Weebly, eTwinning, eTwinning desktop, Tools workshop, twinspaces, aiming at the development of digital competences for pupils until August 2016. 3. Development of the abilities of the 10 teachers in applying the competences achieved on a European level to the whole school (digital competences, collaboration and team work) in order to find solutions for ICT-based learning for 10 teachers, until August 2016; 4. Improvement of the educational strategies involving the new technologies for middle/ secondary school and extending them to the primary level in order to develop the pupils’ digital competences (for at least 80% of the pupils) until August 2016. Number of participants: 10 Participants’ profile: According to the selection procedures, the teachers involved in the mobility project needed to be the school's employees for at least 2 years; 5 primary school teachers and 5 middle/secondary school teachers from different fields/teaching various subjects, with at least an A2/B1 level in English, interested in the implementation of new teaching ideas. Activities: inauguration, selection and preparation the two groups for the mobility; mobility to Spain; after studying modern teaching strategies, methods and tools, the ten teachers returned and presented demonstrative lessons to their peers; there have been debates on the increase of quality generated by the new strategies and by the international approach of using digital means during the lessons; we completed the financial reports, we made a dissemination plan, so as to share the new knowledge with our colleagues, we wrote a diary of the lessons we had taught using this knowledge, and we created lesson plans as models for our peers; we presented the activities on the online page of the project; we elaborated a guide of good practices involving tablets and associated resources and a mini-guide of methods/ techniques/experiences/lesson plans regarding the use of ICT and web 2.0 tools; we wrote two optional course projects: ”With tablet in a fairy tale's world”,”Math and logic games on tablets” (for primary school);we have been maintaining contact with fellow teachers from other European countries, considering our future involvement in eTwinning projects; we held Summer school classes, with voluntary assistance; then we held a conference to officially close the project. Methodology: methods, strategies and modern digital means, digital competences, ICT knowledge, practical applications, collaborative learning, project-based learning. Results: knowledge, competences, abilities; final products – support materials, portfolios made by the participants to the mobilities – planning and activity registration patterns, collection of different types of activities using TIC and web tools- portfolio of each teacher involved– evaluation tools, materials for School presentation in order to establish an international collaboration– dissemination materials (project web page, project Facebook page, eTwinning, posters, flyers, local newspapers articles). Impact: on the institution/the participants: the development of teachers' competences regarding the innovative and creative approach of the new digital devices (tablets, digital materials, interactive board/screen, the internet) for the formation and development of digital competences in pupils.
