ICT Skills 2: ICT Tools and Training for E-Practitioners

The partnership applied for the project ICT Skills 2 in order to develop new contentsbased on the theoretical and methodological assumptions of the associated project ICTSkills for Guidance Counsellors project (www.ictskills.org), financed by the Leonardo daVinci programme - Reference materials - and included by the European Commissionwithin the 50 best practices of the same programme. Those outputs will be valorisedand further developed for a wider community of LLL practitioners, transversally to allsystems that interact in the lifelong learning process of the individual (school, university, labour market, adult education). Starting from the associated project, and in particularfrom the theoretical and methodological approaches of the map of ICT competencesand of the standard flexible training model, the ICT Skills 2 project will frame a standardprofessional profile, shared at a transnational level, for LLL practitioners deliveringservices to their clients through the use of the ICT: the e-practitioner profile. For that thepartnership will frame an open source platform to which a sample of LLL practitioners ofall partner countries (mainly guidance practitioners but also trainers and teachers) willhave free access and where they will use different on-line tools enabling them to: A)Identify and valorise their ICT competences acquired within formal, informal and nonformalcontexts thanks to the use of an on-line tool for the skills assessment. This toolwill be based on the map of ICT competences developed within the associated projectthat will be integrated and adapted for this scope and for a multimedia format. B)Acquire new competences, thus not already owned but necessary ones to carry out LLLactivities with users through the use of the ICT. That will be possible through a specificmodular and flexible training path that will be delivered in blended learning in the partnercountries within training pilots. The training path will be based on the training model ofthe associated project and delivered in distance and presential sessions. C) Use an eportfoliowith the aim to capture the performance, the standard of learning, the processof learning, the choice, the different models of learning, reasons and the motivations, theprogress made and the learning context for an individual skills assessment. Theplatform will be maintained also after the project end and opened to the widestcommunity of users. The project consortium will be composed by 9 public and privateorganisations from 4 countries with remarkable experience in the project subjects and awide network of relationships at a national and transnational level. The envisagedimpact will be the training of 120 practitioners and ICT-specialised LLL staff, innovationin LLL services, costs reduction in LLL services management.
