According to World Health Organizations' data and scientific researches it is known that %2 people are gifted person. %96 of gifted students aren't identified therefore they can't get enough education support in accordance with their characterictics.Hence the number of gifted students,who must be benefitted supported education based on their individual differences and scientific basics, very limited.Gifted students need phycological support because they start to find out, produce and use their senses earlier when we compare them with their peers. Therefore it is important for them to get education according to their abilities and features to present their abilities, creativeness, and leadership to be at peace with themselves and to be harmonious person with their environment. It is possible to meet with risk of not developping their skills,that aren't used at maximum level, if gifted students don’t encounter with education systems which don’t allow them to provide from their abilities and show themselves and if they aren't supported by their families and society. Researches in our country isn’t at the enough level when we compare it with Europe. The Palace School Tradition which restores and educates abilities was given up. However the number of gifted students in our country is very high. Their abilities are lied down and they are seemed as problematic students because they cannot get appropirate education. This is one of absences of our edcucation system. It is vital to educate these gifted students appropirately for our country’s development. In this sense there are 50 gifted students in our peovince and it is thought that the number of unidentified gifted students is bigger than identified gifted students.Absence of enough opportunities, absence of “Science and Arts Center” prevents determining gifted students, composing appropirate education activities, using their capacity and guidence services. Therefore analyzing the methedology and researches in Europe and especially host organizations ANEIS and Douance that are accepted as leader organizations in thier countries about this topic, is very important for us to create awareness and to lead guidence services about gifted students. Because of the reasons we mentioned above it is need to be applied to Project abut this topic.The Project comprises of 16 participants who are managers, chieves, department managers working at basic education, secondary education and EU Foreign Affairs Departments at Karaman Provincial Directorate of National Education, that is leader of adult training in Karaman, four participants from other consortium partners, total there will be 28 participants.During the Project mobility activities we will attend a conference called “Interrogation of Training and Education with Different Contents of Gifted Students” that we will be given an hour and we will have chance to introduce Turkish Education System. In the conference there will be managers from universities, committee of inspections and vocational high schools as attendees/speakers from Portugal, Spain, Brazil and Venezuela and we aim to exchange of views with the attendees. We believe that the project will be basis of “Science Arts Center” which is being founded in our province in long term.
Within the scope of the project;
-To contribute 148th article of The Tenth Development Plan prepared by Republic of Turkey Ministry of Development "In accordance with inclusive special education,human capital and physical infrastructure will be strengthened in order to ensure appropriate learning environments for disabled and gifted individuals who require special education."
-To contribute one of the special aims of Erasmus+ programme: “foster quality improvements, innovation excellence and internationalisation at the level of education and training institutions, in particular through enhanced transnational cooperation between education and training providers and other stakeholders”.
-Increasing identifing gifted students activities with transfer of new and good practices of identifing,educating and guidance of gidted students to our province
-Exchange of views and sharing of experience with the attendees from EU countries at the conferende to be held in Portugal
-To create awareness on Science and Arts Center being founded in our province
-To provide participants learn about the cultures of host organizations' cultures and to introduce their culture
-To develop participants' vocational and language abilities,
are aimed. We believe that the project will be basis of Science and Arts Center being founded in our province in long term.
