The proposed plan is expected to improve competences linked to the professional profile of the participants (knowledge, skills and attitudes) and produce innovative and improved ways of operating towards their target groups. More specifically the expected outcomes are: • Improved foreign languages competences. • Enhanced intercultural awareness and greater understanding of the cultural and linguistic traditions of the host counties. • Βetter awareness of the European identity and values. • More opportunities for the creation of international networks and co operations as well increased capacity to operate at EU/international level. • Increased ability of the participants to offer more attractive programmes for students and cater for their needs. Our plan supports the participation of 12 staff members of Ionidios Experimental School who will be initiators and disseminators of the results. Our school strongly supports the European dimension of education as proved by various participations and activities organized (European Commission Conference, e-twinning affiliations etc.). Additionally its long historic presence and tradition in innovation and excellence render it a most competitive candidate and assure a most profitable dissemination of the benefits of the activities. All the participants – members of the teaching team of Ionidios - will be trained in modern and innovative teaching methods. They will also broaden their understanding of practices, policies and systems of education across European countries by observing classes and discussing with teachers from other countries. Aims and outcomes: • To become familiar with innovative uses of technological tools. • To implement innovative ideas and practices. • To gain experience in cooperative teaching/learning.
