NGO V.I.A.C. - Institute for Youth support and development again decided for hosting two foreign volunteers (Portugal, Canary Islands) for 12 months for the fourth time. The main aim of the project is through hosting foreign volunteers breaking down prejudices and stereotypes to foreigners in our region among all the people, but especially youngsers. Next aim is to motivate young people in the Orava region to participate in European Mobility. Activities of the volunteers have three parts . The first part will be itaken in our organization (office, "Space" with cafeteria and Young Hostel) . It will be helping with our regular activities . The second part of the activities will be implemented in the Leisure Centres in Námestovo, Trstená and Tvrdošín, where volunteers will be involved in creative workshops . The third part of the activities will be at our partner schools, where they will help with language lessons.We believe that the meetings of volunteers with local youth degrade their prejudices and stereotypes against people from abroad. And we hope the EVS volunteers will motivate young people to engage in EVS and other international activities .
