"I feel free, Creative Legality" is a 11-days-youth exchange project which gathered 21 participants from Italy, Belgium, France and Macedonia. The YE took place in Motta Sant’Anastasia (CT), Sicily inside of the cooperative “Beppe Montana” in a land confiscated to the mafia, from the 30th of July to the 9th of August 2015, the APV among leaders took place in mid-june. Through non-formal learning process, participants got a wider awareness of the illegal phenomena by sharing and comparing their own realities, with the aim to encourage civic consciousness and awareness of legality, social change and active citizenship. Furthermore, the youth exchange promoted the social inclusion of disadvantaged youngsters. By visiting places of memory, and meeting associations which are managing confiscated goods to mafia, participants had the opportunity to get closer to stories of people who had and have a meaning in the fight against the mafia in Catania and Siracusa and Sicily. Participants took part also in brainstorming, reflection moment and expressive workshops in order to rework the issues of legality and civil commitment by using comic, drama, and music. Sharing facts and ideas on the issue of legality, and also, comparing visions and perceptions had empower participants with new knowledge which encourage to law-abiding behaviour and active citizenship. To end the activities, a flashmob was planned and performed by the group and during the same event comics were given to the audience. Thoughts and feeling came out during the project have been shared with the local community as well, producing a mutual impact and raise awareness on the topic of legality. Participants were people interested in the topic and in developing new ways of promoting legality by using creative forms of expression. Participants of the youth exchange "I feel free - Creative Legality" were as well youngsters with fewer opportunities, from 17 to 28 y.o. with different social and economic backgrounds. Each national group were composed by 4 participants and 1 youth leader and it involved person from rural areas, people with lower education and person with criminal records.
