Ιn the spectrum of the European mobility programme of school staff, our school decided to participate in the field of the European training, having in mind lifelong learning and constant updating of the knowledge of the staff, on the basis of the European prospect of education and development of the teachers. In the mobility programme 7 teachers of different sectors were selected, who show an interest for self improvement through collaborative European projects, have already had a good level in using foreign languages ,they are computer literate and experienced in the chosen fields. They are also interested in implementing innovative methods and willing to intergrate all the students in the educational procedure, giving them equal opportunities and offering productively in the educational community. They consider though, that they need further training so as the educational process to be more effective, offering the best possible benefits to the students. Our primary goal is to to offer support to those students coming from vulnerable social groups, of low socio-economic background (Roma, immigrants, families affected by the economic crisis), who present a high percentage of early school leaving as well as to students with serious learning disorders. So we have arranged an action plan of 3 European mobility programmes organized by different European countries who aim at the early diagnosis and prevention of school dropout. The seminars were selected after research which was conducted in the website provided by the Erasmus+: school education gateway. The course providers ("ΙΤC international" and "English Matters") are certified and with long experience in their field. Specifically the courses we intend to attend are the following: 1. Structured study visit to schools/institutes and training seminar for teachers and other school staff in Finland (08-14 October 2016): it will be attended by the headmistress and 2 teachers This is a study visit aiming at observing schools with special organizational concepts and communicating with educationists and counselors of Finland in order to adopt innovative and collaborative learning methods and ways to run an educational institution successfully, which create a powerful and unique school culture.2. Current issues in education-Early School Leaving (7-11 November 2016): it will be attended by the deputy headmistress and 2 teachers. This training seminar will offer participants the opportunity to acquire theoretical and hands-on knowledgeon methodologies and approaches aiming at predicting and preventing early school leaving and improving their communicative skills in the relations with their students and their parents.3.Special Needs Children (7-11 August 2017): it will be attended by 3 teachers. With this course the teachers will be informed on issues relevant to students with special needs-difficulties and will be trained on innovative methods of differentiating learning so that they can cover the needs of mixed ability classes. Our intention is the qualitative upgrade of the education offered not only in our institution but in the broader educational community as well , through dissemination actions of the training we are going to acquire. For this reason, after the end of the training, activities will be organized with the help of all the teachers in the school in order good practices to be applied in the classroom immediately. Moreover dissemination activities will be held so as to inform the broader educational community, the parents council and the local community with seminars, workshops, interviews in the local press, production of an e-book and uploading it on the website of our educational institution, in the etwinning website and in the panellenic school network. Simultaneously, evaluation will be carried out during the programme and at the end of it, using various techniques and tools. In the long run, there will be multiple benefits for our institution since after our return the implementation of innovative programmes, techniques and ideas in the classroom will boost knowledge, improve the educational process, encourage students to participate in the lesson, deter dropout and lower it in levels below 10% . Moreover teachers and students will come into contact with the Εuropean cultures and another dimension of education and learning, thus developing feelings of solidarity among peoples through their diversity and of course proper relationships will be formed and foundations will be put so as our educational institution to participate in successful strategic partnerships Erasmus plus KA2, an action which is within the school's immediate goals.
