According to Eurostat, in January 2016 the average level of unemployment for young people was 10% in Europe states. Un-employability will lead to the adherence of youth to anti-social groups, discriminatory attitude, low self-esteem and definitely, on long-term, will contribute to the under-development of modern society.The idea of a project aiming development of personal and professional competences in the employability context arose for youth from different nationalities partners in this project during Erasmus+ program presentations in schools and organizations. The overall aim of the project is to raise the employability for 25 youngsters aged 17-25 by creating the optimal context where they will develop at personal and professional level through the use of NFE as a valuable tool for providing new learning opportunities.The objectives of the project are:-to involve 25 youngsters aged 17-25 From 5 European countries for 6 months in planning, preparing, implementing and disseminating the youth exchange project-to raise employability for 25 youngsters by tackling personal and professional development based on the non-formal learning practice, principles, and quality standards of the EU youth programmes- to enable participants to reflect on their learning and to familiarise themselves with Youthpass as a non-formal learning recognition tool.The participants are high school and college students activating as volunteers in coordinator and partners’ organizations. All of them are at their first international experience within Erasmus+. The participants’ profile regards:-age (17-25 years old)-interest in Erasmus+ programme in general and youth exchange projects in particular-committed to be actively involved in planning, organizing, implementing of the activities of the project- committed to disseminate the results within their organizations and to multiply the impact of the project by actively working with peer youth in their local communities-interested in finding solution for the identified needs in a non-formal learning context-minimum working level of English (B1 to C2, according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).approach. The objectives of the activities are directly linked with the project objectives, thus they were designed to reach the aim of the project. The activities will develop the competences in the gap period- between school graduation and insertion on the labour market. The methodology is based on the principles of experiential learning framed within the non-formal and informal education.Activities are structured in order to support participants’ development on 3 levels: -Personal development in relation with yourself- through workshops on leadership, creativity, reflection session, personal development plan.-Personal development in relation with the others- through workshops on teambuilding, negotiation, constructive feedback, efficient communication, active listening-Professional development- through sessions on Professional development plan, interview, Video CV.The participants (supported by leaders- trainers with experience in the field of non-formal education) developed participatory and self-directed learning activities. They are aware that the impact will be directly proportional with their active involvement in the activities of the project.Target group can be all ages, but the main focus is those working with youth and the young people about to graduate, who are unemployed or in transition from school to labour market.
