I CARE
Date du début: 5 août 2015, Date de fin: 4 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main objective of the “I CARE” project is to raise awareness and building the capacity on healthy lifestyle topic of female and male youngsters from Lithuania, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Poland, so that they are better able to utilize and popularize it back to their communities through methods of peer to peer education. Discussion between partner organizations revealed lack of healthy lifestyle and social exclusion as common problems that impact young people in our local communities. Physical inactivity, increasing tobacco use, excessive consumption of alcohol and poor diet and nutrition, are increasingly becoming part of today’s lifestyle leading to the rapid rise of diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, or obesity. The above mentioned situation brings several problems to their life, such as sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy nutritional habits, lack of exercise and other related unhealthy behaviors, which itself leads young people to become socially inactive and socially excluded. This is why the project organizers decided to focus on this topic. Project will gather 28 participants and 5 group leaders in Kaunas, Lithuania to share, and extend their current knowledge and skills and to acquire new ones with regards to healthy lifestyle and social inclusion. Used methods will be non-formal, informal, participative, encouraging identification with the content of the project and maximizing the learning effect. Organizers will achieve desired impact on local, national, European and international level through disseminating the project results by bringing them to the attention of a broader audience. This audience includes youngsters living around us, family members, friends, our local communities, our friends and partner organizations from Europe and all over the world. The Youth Exchange will include role-plays, small group discussions and other non-formal education methods which are highly participative, dynamic and structured to elicit and enrich the knowledge of participants about sports, physical activity, healthy eating, living and acting, in accordance to social inclusion practices. A part from this, participants will explore different sports and physical activities during the project so that they can find their favorite one to continue practicing and promoting it back to their communities.
