A good school day – project The main focus of this project is on students’ (especially boys’) school satisfaction and learning results. The new syllabus made us think teaching more from the student’s point of view. We are working in a school that has about 1000 students with the staff of 100 persons. This kind of project could give us a new platform to develop our work. Our aim is to develop our teaching methods, build new learning environments and respond to the challenges of modern school work. We also pursue to enhance the learning results and diminish bullying, dropping out and social exclusion. We also try to find as many collaboration channels as possible (colleagues, youth workers, sports clubs, libraries etc.) The result of the project would be locally functioning syllabus, aiming to build A good school day : promoting wellbeing and learning in school. The members of this project consist of 5 teachers who have been chosen by their experience in the syllabus work and their international knowledge. They are also in charge of making this project much bigger, more influential and more importantly a continuing one. The main functions of this project are the work with the syllabus, international collaboration and education: Action Methods Improving Motivation and Quality in the Learning Environment/ CROATIA, 4.-10.10.2015 - European Bridges Consulting The student-oriented working environment offers the students and their teachers a motivating and meaningful place for education. We want to get more out of the classroom towards new exciting working environments. A successful finish to this project would be more cohesive, more committed and more open school with better readiness to deal with different kinds of student groups and other challenges of everyday school work, involving everyone in the community.
