TERMINÉ
Pärnu Raeküla School is an innovative school that strives to be in touch with the changes going on in the field of education as well as in the society, and to provide its students with high quality and competitive education. School development plans and activities aim to enable the students to acquire the best basic education suited to their individual capabilities, after which the students are able to continue their studies in general higher or vocational education. The planning and execution of all the activities of the school strives to be in accordance with the above mentioned goals – including the training of teachers.
The purpose of this project is to support the development of the teachers and enable them to continuously acquire new knowledge and skills for successful educational practice.
Three teachers would participate in the exchange. The first one is a class teacher, the second teacher specializes in Russian and the third participant is the school principal.
Objectives:
1. To improve the language skills of teachers in order to enable them to participate in further international training programs and courses;
2. To acquire new skills, methods and didactic approaches to make learning more interesting for students and to prevent students dropping out of school before acquiring basic education;
3. To obtain new contacts and collaborate with other teachers and schools of a similar kind to begin/continue cooperation on further joint projects.
During the project:
1. A joint action plan would be created to ensure the successful completion of the project (including jointly prepared Application for Exchange);
2. Trainings/conferences would be attended with the aim of obtaining the best information and skills sets regarding improvement of teaching and education process management;
3. Each participant would find at least one partner with whom to continue the cooperation either in the setting of eTwinning, the framework of strategic cooperation and/or collaboration between schools/teachers.
4. At the end of the training/conference the participants would present their experiences in their school and/or other relevant institutions within the Community; if possible, local or regional newspapers and other form of media could also be used for further coverage;
5. The quality, content and impact of the project would be assessed (through self-assessment);
6. Changes are made, if necessary, to the school's curriculum; introduction of new teaching methods, which will be presented to colleagues during open classes; the start of new projects (eg eTwinning, collaboration with other schools).
Long-term impact:
1. Other teachers of Pärnu Raeküla School would participate in the following exchanges.
2. Improved results of the PISA test, increased students’ motivation to participate in regional competitions and Olympiads (better results among participating students).
3. The school participates in one of Erasmus+ strategic cooperation processes.
4. The reputation of the school improves and there is a competition to obtain the available study places.
5. No students stop their studies before finalizing their basic education (Year 9)
