Hungarian–Romanian multidisciplinary PhD doctoral school programme in medicine (HU-RO DOCS)
Date du début: 28 févr. 2011, Date de fin: 28 févr. 2012 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The co-operation between the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Szeged and the Victor Babeş University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timişoara is aimed at laying the foundations of a joint PhD programme in order to further the training of medical professionals in the region. This project offers an opportunity to educate professionals who are competitive on the international stage, but are also aware of the unfavourable public health indicators of the region, have an attachment to the area and plan to carry out their future teaching, research and healing activity here, yet up to European standards. The two universities have maintained a professional link for 25 years, and there is an increasing demand for creating an organisational framework for this co-operation. It is a common interest of the partners to start joint medical research projects which promote the accreditation of their joint PhD school. In this, they can rely on the staff and the research infrastructure of the two universities and on the experience of the internationally acclaimed PhD schools of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Szeged. The general objective of the project will be accomplished by identifying the structure of a joint intellectual and virtual doctoral school based on a computerized communication system. It also gives the opportunity to develop co-operation between partners, regardless of geographic location and conventional administrative units. Trainers will develop interdisciplinary modules that will be implemented with complex educational resources. This strategy will be on two levels: improving the basic curriculum module offered on E-learning platform and the introduction of special joint training modules. These modules may be used as a prerequisite for the joint doctorates.
