PROJET
TERMINÉ
The core aim of this project is enabling rural youth to advocate for human rights, by filling in the educational and skills gap existing at national levels and affecting young people living in rural areas. This will be done through the use of non formal education and involvement in NGO sector, directly provided for them, in order to increase young people’s opportunities for further development in Human Rights Education. Objectives:To develop and deliver through a learning experience a set of tools and skills that can enable rural youth to advocate for human rights. To build positive attitude among youth, by boosting skills that they have.To understand how to build main elements of an advocacy campaign by designing a strategy plan for Human Rights, appropriate for rural areas. To foster international cooperation with impact on rural youth, in order to emphasize the EU policies on education and life-long learning. To provide space for rural youth to actively contribute to the society through their involvement in experienced NGOs.To develop positive experience that can be used as an assessment instrument on Human Rights Implementation at different realities. To establish a solid ground for future international cooperation, by exploring Erasmus + in practice. We planned a process that will allow us to gain new skills, put them in practice and then reflect upon this experience. This process is based in learning, experiencing and reflection, spread in time. It will start by organising a training course on Action Research, HRE, and campaigning, providing also some space for leadership skills. We know at certain level the situation of HRE in our specific countries, but it is difficult to put it into a European context. Through the training we will unify our efforts and bring this country specific issue into a European arena.Afterwards the trainees will work in their specific countries, conducting researches based on the methodology agreed on during the training course. Constant communication via ICT & phone will be kept with the trainers and project coordinators responsible for coaching us during the research. We will also have the support of the NGOs, by working with an experienced youth worker. Then the findings shall be shared in a report, addressing the issue by country. At this point we will approach also important institutions that can help us in the future work. Based on the specific results, we will draft and implement simple information campaigns that will provide information for youth at local level on learning opportunities. Finally, we planned a seminar to reflect on this experience and share the lessons learned. We will define recommendations how to provide more opportunities for rural youth, and how the tool created can be used in similar situations by other youth. By developing our skills and establishing a functional model, we can act as multiplying vectors, through leadership skills, reach more youngsters with the necessary time.
