1/For several years our school participates in the implementation of EU projects. 46 students who specialize in hotel management and technicians of tourism organization will go for training this year. Five teachers (tutors) will take part in this project to Majorca, too. This time, we would like to improve the professional and linguistic competencies of participants, and also their tutors. We want everyone to grasp the opportunities of development and broadening horizons and adaptation in an international environment. Internships will be held in Amic Hotels.2/Periods of 4-week internships:-Sept./Oct. 2015 r.-June/July 2016r. -Aug./Sept. 2016r. -April/May 2017r.3/Objectives and needs of the participants are as follows:-improvement of skills, knowledge and professional competences, -improvement of general and professional English and learning basic Spanish words and phrases-making others learn foreign languages-acquaintance with news appearing in tourism -making young people be enterprising and creative - acquaintance with Spanish culture, monuments, traditions and customs -learning how to live together in an international environment and tolerance4/The methodology used in the project.The school will use a variety of tools to assess the added value of the project in terms of: students, tutors and evaluation of the entire project in the short and long term. These will be both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods such as surveys, questionnaires, discussions with participants of internships during and after their arrival from Majorca. These will be also observations, statements and reports, opinions of Amic hotels managers, trainees’ job cards according to the criteria of the ECVET, etc.Trainees will fill survey on school organizational support, the quality of the cultural and language courses, care provided by Polish and foreign mentors, travel and leisure. Interviews will be conducted with Spanish tutors of our trainees whether they are communicative, have made progress, what they learned, etc. Charter of student assessment completed by the Polish and Spanish tutors in accordance with the criteria ECVET (encl. no4), will say about the progress made. Tutors will also monitor students' work, check diaries conducted by them and help solve the current problems. Monitoring of school headmistress of internships will cover the scope and conditions of work, accommodation and compliance with health and safety regulations. This visit will also be a good opportunity to better understand the managers of hotels and will lead to maintaining contacts with these partners over the coming years.The next step is the evaluation held by participants of internships qualifications, skills and knowledge. It will be performed in Poland. It will be checked by vocational and English teachers (tests) and employers who will be asked for their opinions on the added value and new competences of students. They will share the following opinions -whether they see some changes for the better in creativity, enterprising, boldness, activity, more efficient use of the English language, the use of computer programs supported at the front desk, better quality of customer service, good manners, etc.In Palma, we foresee several trips-cruises, sightseeing tours eg. visiting the famous La Seu Cathedral and the Palais de l'Almudaina.Trainees will receive Europassy documents, certificates of language courses, certificates from employers and from the school stating competences acquired on Majorca. Trainees will prepare a multimedia presentation about their work and leisure and together with teachers participating in the project will promote the idea of Erasmus + practice at school and beyond-at conferences, in high schools, the region, media, Internet, etc.5/We expect the following results:-the youth will be appreciated by employers quickly and get better job or they will open up their own business-the youth will develop their personality and skills in an international environment, overcome stress and learn resourcefulness, creativity and entrepreneurship, they will become tolerant, active and open to the world-students will acquire good manners-teachers will use the acquired knowledge and experience on their lessons-it will give better rank of our school in the region and country -the quality of tourist services rendered in Małopolska will grow.6/Long term benefits:-mobilization of young people to continue education in university-getting better competencies and qualifications of teachers-the growth of self-esteem through the ability to communicate in a foreign language and coping abroad-getting new partners for cooperation and exchange of experience-encouraging pupils from gimnazium to continue their education in our school-improving quality of services in hospitality-tourism in the country in order to increase the attractiveness of the region-emigration of the youth in search of better living standards.
