Name of the project - „H.O.P.E is R.E.A.L“Type of the project – International Youth Exchange.Target group – Youth with intellectual disabilities.Idea of the project – The inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities. Theme of the project – is multiple, it connects art and culture, social inclusion, disability and active participation of youth with fewer opportunities.H-happiness. Feeling joy via creativity process. O-opportunity. Revealing new opportunities for intellectually disabled youth. P-participation. Learning socially and culturally. E-equality. Being together. R- responsibility. Feeling responsible for your actions. E-expectation. Believing in yourself and hope that changes will happen. A-action. Changing actively as citizen of Europe. L-learning. Growing personally. Objectives:• To include intellectually disabled youth to the society through active participation.• To contribute (help) to the strengthening of self-esteem, social and communitarian development (education).• To empower (provide) young people with methods, instruments, create conditions for learning about foreign culture and develop more hope and joy in life via (through) that knowledge.Activities of the project:project will provide intellectually disabled youth with impulse for active participation in intercultural space, decision making, implementation of ideas, learning about foreign nation, gaining experience and applying it in social life. Persons with disabilities will try to find their real SELF, to become more open minded, more creative, braver and more responsible. Some of activities will be organized in public areas involving to participate other students from different educational organizations and random passers-by. Open activities will be organized creatively and will help participants to build connections, include themselves, brake social stereotypes, develop tolerance and establish that we all are equivalent. Via exchanges participants will learn about foreign cultures, language, traditions, reveal singularities of their own nation, develop how to accept the approach of representative of foreign culture and cultural variety, build connections of friendship. Methods: IT, information search, accumulation, practical use, interaction and communication, non-formal learning in meetings, work groups, team work, discussion methods, active learning, evaluation and self- evaluation methods, creativity methods, sketching, modeling, practical activities, simulation games, presentations of works.Number of participant and leaders: 35Duration of the project: 7 moths (2016-05-01/ 2016-11-30).
