The objective of the project was a systematic and integrated approach to strengthening the competences of young people for a more effective transition from education to employment, and a contribution to the improved position of young people in the labour markets of Slovenia and Croatia by exchange of know-how and experience and by the implementation of joint cross-border activities. Achievements: Four studies were completed as part of the project, focusing on measures to create a supportive improving the competences of young people to plan their career and seek employment, willingness of enterprises to employ young people and introduction of entrepreneurship in the formal education system. Key recommendations were made emphasising greater interaction between education, work and support environment, the establishment of more permanent links between young people and enterprises, the encouragement of an entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurship among young people and the establishment of a more favourable climate for the employment of young people. In order to give young people the maximum amount of information on the labour market, the possibilities of further education and training and the knowledge of career planning skills and employment seeking in the course of education, career, corner (visited by 250 young people) were organised in four locations. The project developed and implemented four training courses for the improvement of social and general competences and employment, attended by 100 young people (To know about or to know how career success, Portfolio of the employment seeker, To excel at a job interview and The virtual school of entrepreneurship). A competition, The Best Project Solution, was organised. The competition involved 41 students working in 14 groups. Two Career days were organised and attended by 3000 young people in total.
