HLW goes EUROPE : Qualität, Mobilität und Internationalität
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The HLW DEUTSCHLANDSBERG has opted for mobility and transnational cooperation as strategic goals on a long-term basis. This calls for the participation of teachers in further training courses as well as multilateral partner projects with other European schools. Our school aims at enhancing language competence and skills of both teachers and students in order to guarantee the best quality in teaching. We are particularly keen on cooperating with international partners via e-twinning. For the activity we have chosen one teacher of English and one CLIL teacher, both willing to take part in a longer training course in a foreign country and ready to aquire authentic knowledge and skills in state-of-the-art education. According to our school profile, we are planning to implement the CLIL principle in all our subjects. In addition, the new curriculum as from autumn 2014 will involve more specific English lessons in MEDIA and AKTIV classes , including information technology and content-related lessons. The activity will be held in two internationally renowned language centres in Canterbury, UK and Galway IRELAND. These two language schools provide teacher training in quality language courses and courses in innovative methodology. The planned activity will result in a long-term multiplier effect and in the sustainable improvement of teaching and atmosphere at our school. The expected project results will be integrated in the classroom work and shared with the other teachers. All this will improve professional knowledge, skills and competences and strengthen the capacity of successfully cooperating on the European level.
