Higher education student and staff mobility projec..
Higher education student and staff mobility project

PROJET
TERMINÉ
During the academic year 2015-2016 we pursued international relations office reorganization (at school level and at the Group of higher education level our school belongs to), their services and activities related to Erasmus programme. Considering a wide choice of international programs within the group, International Relations Direction opted for mobility flow and partners network management by study level (graduate and undergraduate). This decision made possible:
- to build an adequate and coherent academic mobility (incoming and outgoing);
- to work with partners in a different way by identifying strategic partners for each programme and by developing new forms of further collaboration;
BBA INSEEC Program joined Undergraduate Programmes Network.
We officially signed a higher education consortia agreement involving 4 partner institutions from European countries (France -Germany - Denmark - Netherlands) eager to collaborate between each other and to create new opportunities for different mobility actors (students, faculty) which are in line with our international strategy. Working within a larger network allowed us to establish new institutional partnerships.
We kept in mind the achievement of the objectives fixed last year. We made further successful steps in:
- making more sensitive mobility participants (especially student mobility); the staff from various services - international relations, company relations, study department, accountancy, direction);
- using the qualitative approach in the development of internal procedures related to Erasmus programme;
- maintaining mobility numbers (in comparison with the results achieved from over past years)
- encouraging incoming mobility (student and faculty) despite tragical events happened in France and impacted this type of mobility;
- initiating and deepening forms of collaboration within a consortia signed.
Keeping in mind the first objective of the BBA INSEEC ECE to enhance students with a real international resume acquired by short-term abroad periods implemented in the regular curriculum (second, third and fourth years of studies), we were able to carry out student mobility. These figures get closer with the results of the previous years. We noticed slight changes in the mobility participant profile: geographical preferences are one of the main criteria for going abroad (a decreased mobility number on the European destinations, e.g. Eastern Europe countries).
Concerned by these facts, we reviewed the system of specific tracks proposed for outgoing students allowing to study one year either within one/ two institutions or to have one study and one internship semesters a year.
Also, we also have to notice a decrease of incoming student mobility (from and outside EU countries) due to the socio-political events happened in France while 2015-2016 year (France has lost its a "attractive and safe country" image).
Finally, we slowly started carrying out staff mobility activities under this project.
The mobility produced the impact on:
- mobility participants: a high rate of satisfaction among students; eligibility criteria of new ERASMUS+ programme allowed second year students to benefit scholarships, what was not the case within the framework of the previous programme. The number of internships in Europe is growing.
- institution: we strengthened relationship with our strategic transnational partners. The goal is to look forward to new forms of collaboration and exchange of innovative practices;
- third-party organisms: the collaboration with institutions at the regional level (regional co-financing).
