PROJET
TERMINÉ
The aim of the project is to realise the highest possible number of mobilities. By applying the guidelines of the Erasmus Charter the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź ensures accomplishment of the project’s quality objectives. The results of the participants’ reports confirm their high level of satisfaction with the mobilities. The aim was to complete the highest possible number of mobilities and activate first-time participants. In the academic year 2015/16 the institution realised 19 student mobilities for studies and 8 for traineeships, 9 staff mobilities for teaching and 6 for training. Outgoing participants could choose their receiving institution from a list of over 60 partner academies. In the case of mobilities for training, students individually found a company whose profile was adequate to their field of study.
Recruitment process was addressed to students of all fields of the 1st, 2nd and long-cycle programmes, in the case of traineeships the recruitment included also 3rd cycle students. Students were informed about the support offered to participants who require financial aid or are handicapped. In the case of staff members and academic teachers recruitment was open to all. The International Office, as the unit responsible for running the project, prepared the Erasmus+ regulations for the academy and informed the academic community about it. The realization of the project was held according to the regulations and the Erasmus Charter. Apart from carrying out informational, recruitment and qualification activities and providing participants with administrative support, the Office organized events aiming at promotion and dissemination of the programme’s results. Exhibitions of participants’ works and events such as the Erasmus Day were organized in the Erasmus Zone Gallery. The office held meetings to provide language and cultural support, encourage integration and sharing knowledge, skills and competences gained during the programme. Among competences which were most often indicated as the ones most developed thanks to the involvement in the project, participants pointed to: language skills, social and cultural competences, development of job-related competences, learning through good practices observed during the mobility, creating and expanding professional networks, problem solving, creative expression, time management, self-confidence and openness to new challenges. Additionally, academic teachers confirmed that participation in the Erasmus+ programme allowed them to test and develop their teaching methods. Dissemination of the results and making sure that they are noticed by the whole academic and local community serves as an incentive to participate in the programme. It is the most successful strategy of influencing all institutions taking part in the project. Realizing mobilities influences a single participant and through this – it influences both receiving and sending institutions. This influence and making the fullest possible use of the potential of persons who acquired new or developed already possessed competencies is a key factor in the development of the academy. Participants may finish their studies or change their work place, but they change the academy by creating a dynamic environment which is open to international cooperation. Each year a new group of programme participants improves the institution thanks to their knowledge and experience and influence its development by supporting the process of internationalization and modernization.
